Get your authentication token

Your authentication token encodes your credentials, and uniquely identifies you the BioData Catalyst powered by Seven Bridges. It can be used with a number of features instead of a login. These include:

• The command line uploader
• The API

Find your authentication token

To obtain your authentication token, follow these steps:

1. In the main menu bar, click Developer.
2. Click the Auth token tab.
3. Click Generate token.
4. Copy your generated token and use it where needed.

You can also regenerate the token if, for instance, you suspect its security has been compromised.
